This policy explains how Sugabi Medicare (Pvt) Ltd ("Sugabi Clinic", "we") handles information collected through the sugabi.lk website. It covers the website only — information you share with us during clinical care is handled under separate patient-confidentiality obligations.

What we collect through this website

Contact form messages. When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, subject and message so we can respond to your enquiry. Messages are stored securely on our server and emailed to our team. Please do not include medical details in a contact message.
Testimonials you submit. Our testimonial form collects your name, telephone or WhatsApp number, approximate month of visit, consultation category, your testimonial text, and your chosen display preference and publication consent. Your name and number are used only to verify your visit and are never published; only the testimonial text and the display format you selected may appear on the site, after review. You can request removal at any time.
Feedback you submit. Our feedback form stores the star rating and comment you provide. Please do not include personal or medical details in feedback.
Analytics data (optional). With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — pages visited, approximate location (country or city level), device and browser type. IP addresses are anonymised. Analytics data is not intended to identify individual visitors.
Calculator inputs. The fertility, due-date and BMI calculators run entirely in your browser. The dates and measurements you enter are not sent to us or stored by us.

What we do not do

We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.
We do not ask you to submit medical information through this website.
We do not use advertising or social-media tracking pixels.

Essential storage

We store your cookie choice itself in your browser (localStorage) so we do not ask again. This is essential and always on.

Optional analytics cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) only after you choose "Accept analytics" in our consent notice. They expire after up to 24 months. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's cookies and site data in your browser — the consent notice will appear again on your next visit.

Third-party content

Some pages embed content from third parties — YouTube videos (loaded only when you press play, via YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode) and Google Maps on our location pages. When you interact with these, the provider may set its own cookies under its own policy.

Appointment booking

Appointment booking is handled by external channelling services (such as eChannelling or Doc990) linked from this site. Information you enter there is governed by those services' own privacy policies.

How long we keep data

Contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your enquiry. Testimonial submissions are kept while the testimonial is published (or under review) and are deleted on request. Website feedback is kept only as long as needed to review and act on it. Analytics data is retained by Google Analytics for a maximum of 14 months.

Your rights

Under Sri Lanka's Personal Data Protection Act (No. 9 of 2022), you may ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent to analytics at any time. Email info@sugabi.lk — we respond within 21 working days.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top.
