Appointments and channelling

You can book an appointment in any of the following ways:

Yes. Send us a WhatsApp message on +94 716 921 921 with your name and appointment request. Please do not send photographs, medical reports or sensitive personal information unless our team specifically asks you to do so.

Yes. You may cancel your appointment at any time before the scheduled consultation, with no questions asked. Please call or WhatsApp us as soon as possible so the appointment can be offered to another patient.

For appointments paid through an external online booking service, any refund may also be subject to that service provider’s payment-processing terms.

Yes. Contact us before your consultation and our team will help you move the appointment to another available time.

We offer same-day appointments when availability permits. Call us on +94 716 921 921 and explain that you require an urgent consultation.

Sugabi Clinic is not an emergency service. If you have severe pain, heavy bleeding, difficulty breathing, loss of consciousness or another medical emergency, please go to the nearest hospital emergency department or contact the appropriate emergency service immediately.

Yes. A family member or trusted person may contact us to arrange your appointment. We may need to confirm certain details directly with you to protect your privacy.

The clinic is directly opposite the Ragama Post Office and within walking distance of Ragama Railway Station and the main bus stops. See our Locate Us page for a map.

Yes. Free parking is available in front of the clinic, subject to availability.

Our regular opening hours are:

  • Monday–Friday: 10.00 am–7.00 pm
  • Sunday: 8.00 am–12.00 noon

Consultation times may vary. We recommend confirming your appointment before travelling.

Yes. Sugabi Clinic is approximately a five-minute walk from Ragama Railway Station. You can also take a Ragama-bound bus and get off near the Post Office on Mahabage Road.

Yes. You may bring your partner, relative or another trusted person for support. Depending on the consultation or examination, the doctor may ask to speak with you privately for part of the visit.

Your information will be handled confidentially, subject to applicable legal and professional obligations. Please review our Privacy Policy for more information.

Not every consultation requires an examination. The doctor will explain whether one is recommended and why. An examination will only proceed after obtaining your consent, and you may ask questions or withdraw your consent at any time.

Yes. You may ask for a chaperone to be present during an intimate examination. You may also bring a trusted support person, although a member of the clinical team may still act as the formal chaperone.

Yes. Your consent is required before an examination, investigation or treatment. You may ask for more information, request additional time to decide or decline a proposed procedure.

Telephone and WhatsApp are suitable for appointments and general administrative enquiries. They are not substitutes for a medical consultation, and we cannot safely diagnose or manage individual medical conditions through ordinary messages.

Do not use WhatsApp for emergencies.

Preparing for your appointment

Where relevant, please bring:

  • A valid identification document
  • Previous clinic records
  • Test results, scans and medical reports
  • A list of your current medicines and supplements
  • Details of allergies or previous reactions
  • Your pregnancy record or antenatal notes
  • A referral letter, if you have one

Do not worry if you do not have all these items. You can still attend your consultation.

A referral is generally not required to arrange a private consultation at Sugabi Clinic. If another doctor has referred you, bringing the referral letter and relevant reports will help us understand your medical history.

Yes. Writing down your symptoms, concerns and questions can help you make the best use of your consultation. You may also note when your symptoms began and the date of your last menstrual period where relevant.

In most cases, yes. Whether an examination or procedure should go ahead will depend on its purpose and the amount of bleeding. Contact the clinic if you are uncertain.

This depends on your symptoms and clinical needs. The doctor will explain any recommended tests, scans or procedures, including their purpose and any available alternatives.

Payments

Sugabi Clinic accepts:

  • Cash
  • Credit cards

If you book through an external online appointment provider, the payment methods offered by that provider may differ.

The reception team will explain the applicable consultation fee and when payment is required. Fees for investigations, medicines or procedures may be charged separately.

You may ask about the expected charge before agreeing to a test or procedure. If an exact total cannot be confirmed in advance, the team will explain the likely costs as clearly as possible.

Pregnancy and fertility care

You may contact us after receiving a positive pregnancy test or whenever you have concerns about a possible pregnancy. The appropriate timing of your first visit depends on your circumstances and medical history.

Seek urgent hospital care if you experience severe abdominal pain, heavy bleeding, fainting or other worrying symptoms.

You are welcome to arrange a consultation whenever you have concerns about fertility. A doctor can review both partners’ histories where appropriate and explain whether any investigations are recommended.

No fertility treatment can guarantee pregnancy, but an individual assessment can help identify suitable options.

Yes. Partners are welcome when the patient is comfortable with their involvement. Some parts of the consultation may be conducted privately to protect patient confidentiality.
